Ca$h Only Week 3 Recap

Post  Ca$h Only GM on Tue Apr 12, 2011 5:13 pm

Week 3

After another 1-1 record from week 2, Ca$h only sits tied for 3rd with SHJB in the standing.
Another weekly power ranking from John Lu, still keeps Ca$h Only sitting in 4th spot behind SHJB, Roosters, and Chain Gang.

Doctors reported that forward Ryan Ho will be out 4-6 months
Cash Only GM has now been put on the spot, needing to stay competitive in this league.
He had to cut some expenses.

And most expensive thing cash only had to offer was 1st overall draft pick Gary Wong.
With some interesting offers from Chain Gang, SHJB, and Rooster, GM had to figure out what was the right deal for cash only moving forward,
Displease and disgusted with the offer they receive from Rooster GM.
The only affordable offer Cash only could except to make their team cash flow look legit was….

Sadly, Cash Only had to make difficult move and trade long time bro Gary Wong
Gary Wong
Felix Cheng

To Chain Gang

Jason Lee
Bryan Lee
Jimmy Phung

Jason Lee and Bryan Lee bring much experience to Cash Only; which gives much more depth and more competitive team.
We remain to see what Jimmy Phung has to offer, since he is out with spare right ankle.

With little time wasted New Cash only team, was going up against there former team Chain gang in week 3 action.
Looking across floor to former players Gary Wong and Felix Cheng, it’s weird to see them as they were part of the team just 2 weeks ago.
Cash only came out strong, scoring two quick goals for a 2-0 nothing lead.
Jason Lee was able to cash in on a goal to show former GM Felix Wong what he gave up, but that lead was short
By the end of the half, the game was tied by goals from former cash only player Gary Wong and quick goal by Felix Wong.
Going into the 2nd half
It was back and fourth battle as team had a hard time find the back on the net
With over 5 mins left in the game Chain Gang manage to sneak in a goal and make the game 3 -2.
But with literally no time left on the clock, Kelly Pham was caught for stealing funds from cash only and penalty was assessed.
Giving Jason Lee a chance to tie the game with a penalty shot.
But sadly our funds were put on hold, by sprawling save by goaltender Nick Yatco.

Determine to try to get there first win as a new team
They were underdogs going into there match with SHJB, after a humiliating lost last time to them.
Cash only goaltender Alex Hoang had this to say
"That was the worst beat down of my life, after that I didn't even want to think about hockey"

No one ever wants to beat be beat down like that.
Cash only promise that they would play better and they did.
Right off the hope two quick goals again by cash only, a blistering coin timer by Will Chan and another goal for forward Jason Lee adding too his impressive league leading 17 point.
The lead was short as SHJB crack the safe and snuck in two quick goals.
Heading into the half Cash only was up 3-2.
In the 2nd half, couple of Bryan Lee massive slapshot, lead to some drop coins that Will Chan and Jason Lee were able to pickup and cash in.
Holding a 5-4 lead to last few secs of the half, Cash only was scrambling around to block shots and deflect them.
But again SHJB Garvin Chow already had 2 goals, shot in a rebound to complete the hat trick, sparing SHJB from close lost.
Ending the game in 5-5 tie

Cash only feeling defeated should not worry. We have depth and quality players to be competitive.
We look forward to next week and use words from Jason Lee as inspiration “

“Gonna get Cash Only winning again if it kills me, No excuse next game.”
