Slammer Hammer Jammer Bammers (8-2-2)

We have a new number 1 this week and that's SHJB. SHJB has taken over first place in the standings and are the first team to clinch a playoff spot in season 1 of the ABHL. This offensive juggernaut has been undefeated in their last 9 games maintaining the highest goals for (71gf) and second in goals against (49ga). The team's scoring leader, Keith Mah, has been leading the charge for the red hot team with 30pts in 10 games.
Key injuries: none

This week - Rank #2
Last week - Rank #1
Chain Gang (8-4-0)

Chain Gang had its worst week of the season in week 6 losing both games to SHJB and Roosters. Chain Gang has never lost two games in the same week before and team morale is at an all time low, especially losing a big match to their rivals, the Roosters. Chain Gang only drops one spot this week in power rankings because they still hold the best goals against (47ga) and is second in goals for (61gf). With the recent big acquisitions of Winslow Tang and Howard Tsang, Chain Gang will need these two to develop some chemistry with the rest of the team quickly as playoffs are just around the corner. Expect Chain Gang to bounce back from this bad week and clinch the playoffs in week 7.
Key injuries: Winslow Tang (lower body)

This week - Rank #3
Last week - Rank #3
Roosters (6-4-2)

In week 6, Roosters went undefeated with newly acquired MVP candidate Ricky Gregorio by beating Chain Gang 3-2 and tieing SHJB 4-4. This team has a total new look after all the big splashes in the trade market. The questions to this team is whether they will be able to score goals. With arguably the strongest defensive pairing in the ABHL with Ricky and Andrew, they will need to rely on forwards such as Stanley Chan and Joseph Florendo to lead the way offensively.
Key injuries: David Luong (lower body)

This week - Rank #4
Last week - Rank #6
Cash Only (4-7-1)

The biggest jump in power rankings this week is Cash Only. Cash Only won both games in week 6 which allowed them to go from last place to being tied with Flying Tigers for fourth place. With Captain Ryan Ho back in the lineup, the boost in morale had every Cash Only player playing better. Cash Only also upgraded their depth by adding Wilson Le and Wilson Man into their lineup with a trade with SHJB. Expect a big push from Cash Only as they seek their first playoff berth.
Key injuries: none

This week - Rank #5

Flying Tigers (4-7-1)

The Flying Tigers, without making any trades to date, are amazingly holding onto the fourth and final spot for the playoffs. Captain Bernie Chu leads his team with 32pts in 12 games. Week after weeks fans are wanting Flying Tigers to make a move and upgrade some players to make a big push for the playoffs as Cash Only is surging upwards quickly. But looks like the Tigers are very comfortable with their team and intends to only make trades if necessary. Tigers' starting goaltender John Lu went down to a season ending injury in which the Tigers have signed free agent Vincent Wong to play between the pipes. Other Tigers will need to step up and help Bernie and Kevin to leading this team into the playoffs.
Key injuries: John Vu (lower body)

This week - Rank #6
Last week - Rank #5
Shockers (2-8-2)

With the most important week have gone by, Shockers chances of making the playoffs look slimmer and slimmer. This top heavy team needs a miracle to happen if they intend to make it into the playoffs. ABHL scoring leader Ken Dang will need help from his other teams if they want make the post season. Shockers will need Dan Sune to be stellar between the pipes and the team in general will need to play much better defense. If these all don't happen in week 7, kiss a chance at the ABHL Championship Cup goodbye.
Key injuries: Thang Ly (Facial injury), Eric Dang (Lower body)

This is John Lu reporting, TaSN, Edmonton.
