Chain Gang (8-2-0)

Chain Gang holds the best record in the league and has won both games in week 5 to climb back to the top of the power rankings. In week 5, this motivated group did not only win both their games, but they obliterated their opponents by a total score of 16-6. The whole team was chipping in on the wins this week from the top players to the goalie to the role players. Chain Gang can be the first team to clinch a playoff berth by winning the first game vs team Rooster in week 6.
Key injuries: none

Slammer Hammer Jammer Bammers (7-2-1)

SHJB continues to roll and has increased their win streak to 4 games. The formula to their success is the depth of their lineup and having every player bring 110% to every game. This offensive minded team also looks strong and can give the Chain Gang a run for their money come playoff time. After 5 weeks of intense hockey, SHJB and Chain Gang appear to be by far the top 2 teams of the ABHL.
Key injuries: none

Roosters (5-4-1)

Roosters drop from 1st place to 3rd place in the power rankings this week as they have gone winless in week 5. There have been a lot of internal team drama in the Rooster locker room as of late and it may be affecting the team's cohesiveness and chemistry on and off the field. If Roosters want to get back to winning, they will have to ensure everyone's on the same page. Week 6 doesn't look like a cakewalk for this team as they will face the top 2 teams in the league.
Key injuries: David Luong (lower body)

Flying Tigers (4-6-0)

Flying Tigers went 1-1 in week 5 with a big victory over the tired looking Cash Only. The tigers are the only team to have yet make a splash in the trade market. But even without any trades, the Tigers are in the best position to secure the fourth and final spot for the playoffs. But after week 6 we'll see if this group remains in that same position as Shockers and Cash Only are pushing hard in the final stretch.

Shockers (2-7-1)

On paper, this group may have the most talented players in the ABHL. But on the field, this is not the case. With a record of 0-4-1 in their last 5 games, Shockers are fighting to squeeze into 4th place to make the playoffs. Their recent acquisitions should help them tremendously and with easier opponents in week 6, Shockers chances of surging up the standings look promising.
Key injuries: none

Cash Only (2-7-1)

Cash Only is tied for dead last in the league. This team has had a rough season so far by losing top forward Ryan Ho to a season ending injury. In addition to that, top scorer Jason Lee has missed the last two games and is also not expected to be in the lineup in week 6. This will be a difficult climb for Cash Only to make playoffs but the first step to this goal is to win in week 6.
Key injuries: Ryan Ho (Upper body)

This is John Lu reporting, TaSN, Edmonton.
