Abhl Season 2 player notes continuous

With the start of a new season injuries will be a key story as everyone gets older. We have learned that well liked forward Will Chan will be missing the entire ABHL season. Will suffered a torn ACL during his Spartans season. The lingering knee issues will be enough to have him on the sidelines. His play and hardwork will be missed this season, but hopefully he makes a strong return for season 3 of the ABHL.  As a result he is not draft eligible, but maybe just maybe down the road of recovery he could be a tempting free agent signing during a playoff push for teams. While this is optimistic the ABHL wishes Will a speedy recovery!

Steve Wong was the anchor for the championship SHJB team last year. It looks like he will start the season on the sidelines as well. A tough time to be hurt as the draft is near. The injury leaves great uncertainty when drafting Steve. When healthy there’s no doubt hes a strong competitor and a top notch player for any squad. While he is injured some team will more than likely draft him and wait as he recovers. Although it is reported it’s a fairly severe ankle sprain. Those can be stubborn and as most players know not having a good offseason can lead to a slow start for any player, even one as talented as Steve. We’ll keep an eye on this situation.

It looks like the chain gang will be without offensive talent paolo jimenez. Doctors say paolo's off season ankle injury has not quite healed properly and will require a few more weeks of rehabilitation. The chain gang will not rush their fwd back as its early in the season but this does put them slightly behind the eight ball to start the season. Hopefully paolo heals quickly and makes a full recovery.

Shockers forward David Luong suffered a sprained ankle in week ones action. He suffered the injury in the first shockers game of the season. Unable to go for the second game Dave was a cheerleader on the sidelines. It seems like he may be out of the lineup for the next little while. It's not the first time that he has suffered this lower body injury. Well keep you posted on his status for week 2.

Its looks as though cash only keeper Bryan Lee will not be available for week 2 of the ABHL. While team sources won't clarify exact reasons, it seems they have granted Bryan a personal leave. After an 0-2 start in wk 1. Losing the big dman going into week 2 probably won't help.

Coming off a strong outting with 2g and 1a in week 1 of the abhl, richad lee will not be in uniform come week 2. Chain gang has granted the forward a personal leave of absence, but his goal scoring ability will be missed. The chain gang is hopeful paolo jimenez will be able to make his season debut and keep the cg undefeated streak going.

Shockers star forward and uncanny playmaker Thang Ly is suffering from a upper body injury. He has missed his last two spartan ball hockey games and his status for saturdays games is unknown. Hopefully the injury is far from serious as he is a key cog in the attack of the shockers. Not to mention his highlight reel plays will be missed.

The highly touted sniper will be missing week 3 of the abhl due to personal reasons. These personal reasons have been rumoured to be of the ski trip variety as after a slow start to the season he may want to clear his head and return rejuvenated. Look for big things from this forward as his supporting cast will be much stronger come week 4.

After being traded before even playing a game for cash only, steve is finally ready to make his season 2 debut. :e'll be doing so wearing the black of the roosters. He should provide a much needed boost to the ailing roosters squad. Week 3 will see ricky gregorio and steve. Wong lined up on the backend. itll be interesting to see if his ankle injury has fully healed and whether the long lay off will affect this player

After a tough week 3 the chain gang squad will be without the services of andrew szeto. His presence will be missed as he anchored the point for his team. It is still fairly early the season though so hopefully his personal leave will not affect the team. If anything it may refresh the star defensemen for his return in wk 5.

The roosters have had some awful luck. It seems they just can't get their full squad together to build any momentum. Franchise keeper ricky gregorio will be missing week 4 due to personal reasons. This will be a huge hole to fill but word has it that the roosters highly touted free agent is expected to make his season debut.
Well see if this holds the fort while defensive stalwart Ricky is missing.

It looks like the flying tigers will need a backup goalie come week 5 in the abhl. Hoac tang has injured his knee while playing a unsanctioned game at ACT over the winterbreak. It happened during an awkward sliding save as he felt a pop. While he feels better and doesn't believe it is too serious he will be held out of action this week. Knee injuries are a scary thing and no set timetable has been established for his return.

Last years underrated player of the year has seemingly suffered a upper body injury. The injury is reported to be his torso and the extent of the injury is not known. It doesn't seem to be a typical hockey injury as it was caused by some heavy lifting. Joseph is set to see team doctors this week and from there it will be determined whether he is eligible for action. For now he Is dtd. The holiday season has hit the flying tigers hard with the injury bug.

The chain gang will be without the services of wilson man come week 5 in the abhl. The often under appreciated player will be sorely missed as he has been contributing greatly week in and week out. It will more than a month since wilson will see game action again.

Shockers will be without dman bryan lee this wknd. Coming off a player of the week nomination bryan has requested a personal leave. Shockers are hoping he will be back week 6 as the shockers make their bid for its first ever playoff spot.

Shockers are getting hit hard week 5. They will be without sniper ken dang this wknd. It is reported that ken suffered a lower body injury and facial lacerations during his papa johns ice hockey game. His status is still uncertain at the moment and if he's lost for any extended amount of time the shockers will be in trouble. Well keep you posted on this injury.

Shjb has suffered a huge blow to their franchise. It has been reported that keith mah has suffered a lower body injury during his off court soccer game. It looks to be a ankle injury of some sort. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like a sprain and could possibly be torn ligaments. If this is true the superstar could be sidelined for 2-4 weeks if not more. He will be seeing team doctors this week to get a proper assessment. Shjb fans around the city hold their breath awaiting these results.

Chain gangs newly acquired Joseph Florendo will not be in the lineup for week 6. It is been over a month and a half since Mr.Underrated has seen abhl action. Team doctors have diagnosed Joseph with cracked ribs. Doctors are optmistic for him to make his chain gang debut week 7.

Tigers goalie hoac tang will be out of the lineup again week 6. What was previously thought to be a mild sprain could be much more serious. He is week to week but outlook does not look good for his return. There have been talks of hoac being bought out and allowing the tigers to sign another fulltime goalie. An interesting story that we shall follow up with during the following weeks.

Shockers all star ken dang is still doubtful for saturdays action. After recovering from a bruised knee he suffered a severely bruised shin while blocking a shot during last weeks spartans game. He hasn't seen game action over the last week. Although he has been quoted saying "I'll probably try to tough it out for abhl, its an important week for the shockers". Well see saturday if team doctors clear ken to come back in a vital week for the underachieving shockers.

Only a few weeks removed from what was thought to be a devstated ankle injury, Keith was seen in action wednesday night during an essc game. Spectators alike said he looked good and almost like no injury had occured. Hopefully this is the case as shjb desperately needs their star back. If he is playing through the pain for a recreational game, were expecting him back with another full wk of rest come week 7.

Team shjb seems to be hitting a rough patch. GM and captain daniel mah suffered a dislocated finger last night during his spartans game. It was a combination of reaching for the ball and an opponent wildly swinging his stick. His timetable for now is week to week, so hopefully it heals quickly. A rough week for daniel as he took a ball to the face suffering a cut lip and now this. Abhl wishes daniel a speedy recovery as he's an important part of the league.
