ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Cash Only - Saturday, April 2 , 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Sat Apr 02, 2011 11:25 pm

Breaking news that cash only has started it new look as of today. Cash only has indeed dealt their first overall pick to the chain gang. Along with gary wong they sent felix cheng in a package deal. Cash only has arguably gotten deeper but is saddened by the moves as cash only was a group of friends as well as teammates. They have acquired a solid defneder in bryan lee and the abhl leading scorer in Jason Lee. Forward jimmy phung is still relatively unknown and currently nursing an injury. What's even more exciting is these two team face off with their new looks in week 3 of the ABHL.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Chain Gang - Saturday, April 2,2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Sat Apr 02, 2011 11:31 pm

After much speculation the chain gang pulled the trigger today making a blockbuster move. The cg acquires gary wong and felix cheng from team cash only. While the cg gm is excited to have new faces he is deeply saddened to lose two great players who wore the blue proudly everytime they took the floor. Both players when interviewed had the same response that they know its a business and no personal involvement. The CG wishes both players best of luck when they don the green of cash only. With that being said look for the CG to continue their amazing streak for the weeks to come.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Jimmy Phung - Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Wed Apr 06, 2011 12:42 pm

Newly acquired cash only forward Jimmy Phung will not be making his debut for his new team this weekend. It looks like the forward's sprained ankle is very severe and hasn't progressed enough to suit up. Jimmy hasn't done any physical activity for the last few eeks. It will be a tough road back to the ABHL for jimmy it seems.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Richard Tang - Wednesday, April 6, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Wed Apr 06, 2011 12:49 pm

After the rash of injuries team cash only has been suffering they finally receive some good news on the injury front. It looks as though Richard Tang will make his return after spraining his ankle at home. Although Dick was sad to see his former teammates leave he is excited about the new look his team brings into week 3. It seems as though cash only has been through the most ups and downs this season, we at ROTOWORLD are secretly cheering for this team.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty John Nguyen - Wednesday, 6, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Wed Apr 06, 2011 1:11 pm

So after a stint overseas player John Nguyen has expressed interest in playing in the ABHL. John is a rugged power forward and could prove very useful to a team lacking size and strength. He's had experience in other international leagues such as HCUP. He does have to pass through the waiver wire first so all gm's will have a fair chance to claim him. Currently john is working to get into game shape and may be available by May first the half way mark of the season. We'll keep you posted on this development.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Dan Sune - Thursday, April 7, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Thu Apr 07, 2011 5:52 pm

Shjb goalie dan sune will be unavailable for action in wk three of the ABHL. He will not be able to help continue the momentum from shjb's massive blowout win back in week two. With a stiff challenge vs the chain gang and the newly revamped cash only team, shjb will be in tough without their starting tender. This week will be a true test of whether offense gets the glory or whether defense wins games.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Alex Hoang - Thursday, April 7, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Thu Apr 07, 2011 6:18 pm

This week will be a fresh week for the CO goalie. He was incredibly frustrated after the beatdown SHJB laid on him and his team. Although he's not to blame, anyone that knows Alex knows he's a fiery competitor. "That was the worst beat down of my life, after that I didn't even want to think about hockey" were the star goalies words. It'll be interesting to see if cash only steps up to the plate and gives him a bit more support. An immediate rematch is happening in wk 3. What an event filled week for cash only. We all can't wait.

Looks like the shjb captain has been upgraded from dtd to probable for saturdays action. He partook in a no contact scrimmage yesterday to test the bum ankle. The ailing strained bum muscle seems to be doing well also. Concerned teammates can now breathe a sign of relief as they are already missing their starting goalie for wk 3.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Clarence Chai - Sunday, April 10, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Sun Apr 10, 2011 12:35 pm

After having a stellar game 1 which included a GWG, Clarence suffered an unfortunate injury in the second game of a BTB. While the gash from the highstick was ugly, Chai was very fortunate to not suffer any other serious damage. His cut was millimeters away from being much more serious. NO stitches were required as it was too close to the eye, but the gash was able to clot on its own and will heal properly. Accidents do happen, but we can be proactive by wearing protective gear. It is reccommended but not mandatory that players wear helmets with visors. Im sure after this close call we'll see more players dawning new gear. Chai will likely return to action in week 4 as the Chain Gang tries to end their modest 1 game losing streak.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Keith Mah - Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Tue Apr 12, 2011 9:47 am

After a stellar first week Keith followed up with a second straight solid performance. While shjb came out with a win and a tie, Keith also came out with a severely bruised toe. The bruised toe was likely a result of some errant stick work. Luckily with the next set of game almost three weeks away there will be ample time for the speedster to heal up. Look for Keith to continue his dominance in wk 4.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Winslow Tang - Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Tue Apr 12, 2011 12:57 pm

After an incredibly strong start the roosters fell hard in wk 3 of the abhl. 2 consecutive losses in which they held the lead in one by 2 goals and lost in the dying moments. Without a doubt these were two very tough losses and team unity has been questioned. Perennial all star Winslow Tang was amongst those displeased with the results of week 3. "Dub" aka winslow has more than done his share averaging 2.0 pts per game. As a result he has indeed lifted his no trade clause. Whether this is just a motivational tactic for the roosters team is yet to be known. ROTOWORLD will keep posted on this situation.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Kelly Pham - Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Tue Apr 12, 2011 1:52 pm

It looks as though the chain gang may need to look to the farm as they will be without the services of forward Kelly Pham in week 4 of the ABHL. Kelly has been granted a personal leave by his GM. Kool Kel has worked hard this season and will use this time to heal up. He also suffered a mild sprain of the ankle, so the extra time off will be great to attend to his personal life while getting a rest for his body. Enjoy the beach as the cgain gang will miss his services for the time being.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Joseph Florendo - Thursday, April. 14, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Thu Apr 14, 2011 4:39 pm

The roosters forward has seemingly suffered an oddball injury. During his off days for the ABHL Joe clipped his thumb in a gate. This resulted in a large chunk of his thumb to go missing. Luckily the next rooster game is over 2wks away. This should be plenty of time to heal and if not he can put a bandaid on it and play through. The roosters team may need more than a "bandaid" though as rumblings may be deeper than just a small cut.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Ricky Gregorio - Friday, April 15, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Fri Apr 15, 2011 12:11 pm

Already without Kelly Pham for wk 4, the Gang might be severely short handed as Dman Ricky Gregorio is doubtful for april 30th. Due to personal reasons Ricky has a scheduling conflict. Chain gang gm is very concerned with this development as people are already questioning whether the chain is that strong. There is still close to two weeks for this predicament to be solved, but if not look for CG GM to either make moves to fill the holes or bring in some substitutions.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Curtis Mah - Friday, April 15, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Fri Apr 15, 2011 2:27 pm

Another highly touted free agent has shown interest in joining the ABHL. With experience in previous ball hockey leagues he is known throughout the community. It isn't a matter of if he will be signed but more a matter of who he will be signed by. Rumors are that SHJB and a injury decimated Cash Only team are incredibly excited. The only current GM with the cash flow to sign Curtis to the lucrative deal he is in serach of Ryan Ho. Changes are on the way I'm sure of it. Look for Curtis to make his debut possibly in wk4 but more likely wk5 as he gets into game condition.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty SHJB - Monday, April 18, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Mon Apr 18, 2011 4:07 pm

Reports are flooding in that SHJB has indeed made a splash in the free agent market. It is the first ever sign and trade of the ABHL as SHJB signs Curtis Mah and deals him Richard Lee and their 7th round pick(2012) to cash only for Victor Trac and C0's 3rd round pick (2012).
An intriguing deal as cash only continues to build a formidable team. SHJB also benefits by increasing depth, strength saves some money and looks to the future with the added 3rd round pick. Player interviews and reactions will be posted as soon as reports are out. WOW what an afternoon for the ABHL.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Cash Only - Monday, April 18th, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Mon Apr 18, 2011 4:48 pm

Making headlines again in the ABHL cash only GM proves he isn't afraid of change. Cash only has just acquired the services of Curtis Mah and Richard lee. CO parts with fan favorite Victor Trac. After a interview Trac had this to say: "I'm more excited than anything. Maybe just a little sad that we just started to develop a new team, But im also pretty excited to play with shjb. They see to be really well rounded so I'm looking forward to learning from then too". It seems like Trac is eager to improve and any GM should be happy to acquire that. Its not all sad news as curtis mah brings a lot to the table. Cash Only teammate Jason Lee was vouching for his former teammate, Jason says Curtis has a great shot and will be key in helping Cash Only right the ship. The weks to come will be interesting to say the least.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Curtis Mah - Monday, April 18, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Mon Apr 18, 2011 5:00 pm

The abhl has seemingly heard this name a lot over the last few days. Well the highly touted free agent has found a home. Cash Only welcomes Curtis with open arms and at a steal of a price tag after a sign and trade. After a brief interview Curtis had these words to say: "I would say that I am pleased to go to a team with a bunch of familiar faces and have played with back on previous successful teams. It will be a bit of an adjustment going from ice hockey back to ball hockey but the rust should be minimal. It is more the pace of the game that needs adjusting. In terms of what I will bring to the team I feel I can step right into a leadership role and take over for Ryan on the court. I also bring alot of hockey experience from playing as far back as when I was a kid. Overall I think my job will be to step in and take some pressure off of Jay and get cash only into the playoffs.". Looks like cash only has acquired a significant piece in the hopes to building a serious contender. Although it may have to wait till week 5 to see its one new acquisition in the Green, as Curtis works to get back to game condition.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Will Chan - Tuesday, April 19, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Wed Apr 20, 2011 1:22 am

Just after acquiring new players, cash only suffers another blow as the injury woes continue. Forward will chan suffered a bruised shoulder during a Edmonton Ball Hockey game last week. Hopefully it isnt anything serious, but it occured when he was checked into the boards by a larger bodied player. He has deemed himself week to week and is doubtful for week 4. Looks like we'll have to wait to see if the new Cash Only team is really that good.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Allen Wong - Tuesday, April 19, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Wed Apr 20, 2011 1:26 am

A potential free agent, Allen Wong has been signed to a 2game tryout. He will suit up for the Chain Gang in week 4 of the ABHL. Whether he can earn a lucrative contract to enter the league has still yet to be determined. Allen is a unknown talent, but does have a history with Tigers forward Kevin Chan. Allen also is a former teammate of Curtis Mah. It will be interesting to see how he adapts and whther he can provide some temporary support for the new look chain gang.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty John Vu - Tuesday, April 19, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Wed Apr 20, 2011 1:32 am

Coming off a stellar week with two straight wins and an excellent goals against, the Tigers goalie will not be available for week 4's games. Im sure this is disappointing for a tigers team that is trying to prove they are amongst the elite in the ABHL Johnny Vu's personal leave has been accepted by gm Bernie Chu. It is now the GM's responsibility to find a serviceable tender for their set of games. We've seen goalie subs be very solid and also very bad. Which way will it go for team FT in the week to come? No one has the answer to this, we'll just have to wait and see.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Ryan Tong - Thursday, April 21, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Thu Apr 21, 2011 12:32 pm

Roosters star forward Ryan Tong has suffered a lower body injury. It occurred during a Spartans game last night early in the game. It is suspected to be a sprained ankle. Ryan has had previous ankle injuries and hopefully this is nothing too serious. He did power through to finish the game. With over a week to rest Roosters GM David Nguyen is hoping Ryan can rest up and return to action. A Ryan-less Roosters squad would have a lot less bite that’s for sure.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Winslow Tang - Thursday, April 21, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Thu Apr 21, 2011 12:40 pm

After already having one forward suffer an injury, the Roosters get hit again with a unfortunate blow. Versatile leader Winslow Tang suffered a lower body injury during the Spartans game last night as well. Unsure how this happened, Winslow pulled out of the game in the first half. It is believed an improper warm up led to a strained ham string. There is cause for concern as Dub normally would play through anything unless he really couldn’t. Once again with over a week to rest, let’s hope this is nothing a few days rest won’t cure. Goes to show as we all get older a proper warm up including stretching and limbering up is crucial to staying healthy.

ABHL PLAYER NOTES continuous - Page 2 Empty Ryan Tong - Wednesday, April 27, 2011

Post  ROTOWORLD Wed Apr 27, 2011 4:35 pm

It looks like Ryan Tong will be missing the Roosters games on wk4 of the ABHL. The odd thing here is that it wont be due to his lower body injury. Ryan Tong has requested a personal leave for games 7.8 and it GM PChan has granted the power forward his wishes. It only leads to more speculation that a change gon come after wk4 is all said and done. Is it player unhappiness? Poor relations? Or maybe we are all making too much out of nothing. Having the outsiders view its easy to speculate. Stay tuned as this story progresses.

Post  ROTOWORLD Wed Apr 27, 2011 4:41 pm

Cash Only player Charles Lam will be missing wk 4 of the ABHL. He has been a very dedicated player and works very hard. It isn’t due to any suspected injury, but a personal leave to spend time with his family. CO GM Ryan Ho has been more than happy to oblige and granted the player his wish. The new look CO team will welcome forward Richard Lee into the lineup. Although it is still unknown whether their big free agent signing will suit up to start this week.
